The History and Science
of Siberian Rhodiola Siberian Rhodiola rosea has over four
hundred years of history and over 35 years of secret clinical studies in Russia.
The clinical tests were conducted on various age groups of men & women, for mental,
emotional and physical adeptness and endurance. It has also been included into
the Russian Space & Olympian Programs. Those using it in Siberia commonly state
"people who drink Rhodiola tea will live to more than 100 years of age." Little
was known about Rhodiola rosea until 1931. It was then that Dr. L. Utkin, a Russian
botanist and nutritionist, discovered that the plant augmented physical strength.
As far back as 1947, Russian scientist Professor Lasarev determined that Rhodiola
rosea actually helped increase the body's resistance to numerous environmental
stressors. Of increasing interest in today's fast-paced societies, patients
tested with anxiety, panic and depression have consistently displayed marked improvement.
In fact, all test subjects showed positive results in their general mental and
physical well being after taking only 100 milligrams per day. Further optimistic
reports have been given by several key members of the medical community, citing
significant improvement with patients who have had pronounced depressive states
of varied origins.
