Are There Any Contraindications with Rosavin?
Clinical research and antidotal experience suggests that mixing
some natural MAO inhibitors, such as St. Johns Wort with pharmaceuticals
MAO inhibiting drugs, can become dangerous. Our experience with
Rosavin over the past 4 years along with the more
than 300 Psychiatrists and patients taking it, (many of which are
on other pharmaceutical MAO inhibitors), has not produced any evidence
of contraindication in conjunction with antidepressant drugs.
However, Rosavin is contraindicated with individuals
that experience nervous excitability, exhaustion of the cortical
cells, feverish states and hypertensive crisis. A few have reported
increased arterial pressure with squeezing pains in the region of
the heart behind the sternum. When consumption of the Siberian
Rhodiola rosea stopped, so did the pains. There has never
been any mortality or long-term effects reported with the use of
Siberian Rhodiola rosea.
