Men's Supplements and Working Out at Home

24th Jun 2020

Now is not the time to go to the gym. In fact, gyms all over the country are closed as we pen this. But this does not mean you should skip on your workouts and flop on the couch for the foreseeable future.

Just because you can’t go to the gym does not mean you can’t keep fit. It just takes a little imagination and gumption. Being trapped in your house does not mean stuck doing anything, it is still recommended that you get at least 150 minutes of exercise a week. It is best if you keep moving.

Ameriden, your source for men’s supplements, offers ways to keep fit and healthy in your house.

YouTube Workouts

There are many workout routines that can be found on YouTube. Simply search workout on YouTube and thousands of videos will pop up. This allows you to enjoy a variety of workouts in case you get bored with the same routine.

There are also plenty of videos that show you the right and wrong way to do certain exercises.

Jumping Jacks

You don’t need to check out a YouTube video to do jumping jacks. This is an elementary school throwback that everybody remembers how to do. You can even accomplish this exercise while watching television.

High Knees

If you love running, try running in place kicking your knees high up in the air. It is a better exercise than running in place as it will get your heart rate up higher.

Water Bottle Weights

You should definitely be doing some upper body strength-building exercise. To do this, fill up a few water bottles and use them as weights. If that is not challenging enough, fill up gallon milk containers with water and use those.

Cleaning

You are stuck at home and using the downtime to clean. This is the perfect opportunity to get some exercise. Cleaning can be very physical if you are tackling tough jobs like sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the bathtub.

So you can effectively kill two birds with one stone. You get a workout and your house is sparkly clean.

Lunges

Find a long hall in your home and do some lunges. When doing the lunges, instead of stepping back into place, move forward and continue until you reach the end of the hall.

Dancing

If normal workouts bore you, dance your way to a healthy body and mind. Throw on one of your favorite CDs and throw yourself a dance party. Dancing is an excellent way to burn calories, ger your heart rate up and have fun all at the same time.

Stair Stepping

Stair stepping is great exercise and it is something you can do from the comfort of your home. If you don’t have stairs in your home, find a really big book or sturdy chair and step up and down on it while listening to music or watching television.

Jump Rope

You would be surprised at how fast you get tired while jumping rope. Most people think this is only for kids, but jumping rope is a great exercise. But beware, your calves are going to be sore for a day or two afterward.

Sofa Workout

If you insist on sitting on the couch watching Netflix, at least stop every hour and do some exercises. It might sound simple and silly, but it will burn calories. Sit down and stand up from your sofa without using your hands. Do a few sets of 10 every hour and you will feel it working.
