Online Health Supplements: How to Make the Most Out of Your Mornings

Posted by Ameriden International on 22nd Aug 2017

Your first hour upon awakening sets the tone for the entire day, which is why it’s important to optimize this time as much as possible. Are you unsure where to even begin? Don’t look at your cell phone. That’s right: do not check the weather forecast or look at the latest Instagram posts or check your emails. In fact, immediately responding to all of your phone notifications before even stepping out of bed could wreck the rest of your day.

Instead of focusing on yourself and the tasks you need to accomplish, you are automatically responding to the needs of others. It’s important to spend that first hour of your day working on yourself before giving to others. Are you interested in starting your day off on the good foot? Keep reading to discover some helpful tips:

Don’t Hit the Snooze Button

Hitting the snooze button in the morning is tempting for all of us, especially when our bed feels so warm and cozy. However, snoozing for an extra ten minutes or so can wreck the rest of your day. Throughout the night and morning, your body goes through different sleep cycles, and your body slowly begins the process of awakening about two hours before you actually open your eyes. However, when you hit the snooze button and sleep longer, your body goes back into another sleep cycle, which could make you feel tired and exhausted for another two to four hours.

Meditate

In a nutshell, meditation basically means sitting in stillness and silence for a certain amount of time in order to promote mindfulness. Throughout the day, our minds are constantly cluttered with our racing thoughts. By enacting stillness in your mind first thing in the morning, you are able to tackle the various tasks throughout the day without feeling overwhelmed and stressed.

Exercise

As many of us already know, motivating yourself to exercise after a long day at work feels rather difficult. If you find yourself making excuses not to exercise after work, perhaps you would benefit from working out in the morning before you head to the office. Exercise energizes us, giving us the fuel we need to complete the tasks required of us throughout the day.

Take a Shower

Nothing feels quite as wonderful in the morning as a nice, hot shower. Showers are a great way to wake you up, clearing your mind as the water rushes over your body. Your morning shower could even improve your blood circulation and help stimulate your body to produce new white blood cells, boosting your immunity.

If you really want to wake yourself in the morning, you could even finish your shower by rinsing for one minute in cold water, but this is strictly optional. Although a cold shower may feel unpleasant, it actually helps relieve symptoms of depression by sending high numbers of electrical impulses from the peripheral nerve endings to the brain.
