Our Health Supplement Store Discusses Five Anti-Fatigue Tips

Posted by Ameriden International on 30th Oct 2017

Do you feel fatigue throughout the day? Fatigue can prevent us from being fully present at work and at home, so how can we keep ourselves from running on empty? What steps can you take to naturally boost your energy levels so you feel more vigorous throughout the day?

Start the Day Off Right

It’s often said that breakfast’s the most important meal of the day, so don’t skip it. However, some breakfast foods are better than others. If you eat waffles slathered in syrup or sugary cereals, the combination of refined carbohydrates and sugar could seriously mess with your energy levels. Initially, your blood sugar spikes and then rapidly plunges, leaving you feeling extremely tired.

Instead, try eating a fiber-rich breakfast with whole grains and fresh fruits or vegetables. If you don’t really feel like eating in the morning, try drinking a smoothie with protein powder, fruits and vegetables. Your energy levels will stabilize much more than they would if you ate a pop tart.

Stay Hydrated

Even the smallest amount of dehydration could cause your energy levels to rapidly drop, so make sure that you drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. Avoid drinking sugary drinks and sodas, which cause your blood sugar to rise and then dramatically drop. Your best bet is to stick with water, and you can always add fruit slices to your water to add some flavor.

Keep Your Caffeine Intake In Check

To immediately boost your energy levels, many of us often reach for the coffee pot. Drinking caffeinated beverages such as coffee or tea in moderation is fine, but when you drink too much, all hell breaks loose. Too much coffee could make you feel anxious and jittery, followed by a major energy crash. It’s also best to avoid super sugary coffee drinks from your local coffee shop, which will cause an even greater drop in your energy levels.

If you exercise for as little as 20 minutes a day, you could feel more energized. You don’t have to go all out at your local Crossfit; simply take a walk. Not only will you feel more alert, regular exercise helps you sleep better at night. Nothing makes you feel quite as alert as a good night’s sleep, so exercise is a winner in the fight against fatigue.

Avoid Dairy and Fried Foods

Dairy and fried foods are harder to digest, which requires more energy from your body. That’s why you may feel like you need to take a nap after eating a plate of fried chicken, for instance. Eat lighter foods throughout the day to keep your energy levels steady.
